Positions Open for the November 3rd, 2026 General Election
- Mayor Michael Taylor's position - 2 year term
- City Councilor Brian Schumacher's position- 4 year term
- City Councilor Tass Morrison's position- 4 year term
To run for office in Sublimity, candidates must be a qualified elector (registered voter) under the State Constitution (Oregon Constitution, Article II, Section 2) and shall have resided in the City during the twelve months immediately prior to the election. Elected Officials must continue to be residents of the City during their entire term of office.
To apply to run in the next election, please contact the City Recorder to receive a packet. Information about holding a local position can also be found on the Secretary of State website under Voting & Elections.
Packets can be picked up at City Hall beginning June 3rd, 2026.
- June 3, 2026 - First day for candidates to file
- August 10, 2026 - Recommended last day to submit signatures for verification to City Recorder
- August 18, 2026 - Elected Incumbent candidate filing deadline (signatures must be already verified)
- August 25, 2026 - New and appointed incumbent candidate filing deadline (signatures must be already verified)
- August 28, 2026 - Last day for a candidate to withdraw
- November 3, 2026 - Election Day
