The City has two major events that happen once a year.
National Night Out
- In partnership with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the City holds a citywide national night out event. The night is designated to heighten drug and crime prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and enhance police-community partnerships. Join us for music, barbecue, and vendors at Church Park.
Light Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting
- The first Saturday in December the City organizes a light parade and the lighting of the City Christmas tree in Early Settlers Park.
