NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Sublimity has proposed a land use regulation that may affect the permissible uses of your property and other properties.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at the Sublimity City Hall, 245 NW Johnson Street, the Sublimity Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Legislative Amendment 2017-01.

Proposed amendments to the Sublimity Development Code include:

·         Changes to Section 2.208 that would require dedication of parkland to the City at the time of subdivision; and

·         Changes to Section 3.107 under the criteria for subdivision and the form of final plat, related to the dedication of parkland to the City.

This notice is being sent to you because you own residential property in the Sublimity city limits.

At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Sublimity City Council regarding the proposed amendments. The City Council will conduct a second public hearing to consider adoption of the proposed amendments. That hearing is scheduled for Monday, November 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sublimity City Hall, 245 NW Johnson Street.

The public hearings will be conducted in a manner that permits testimony from interested parties. Any person desiring to speak either for or against the proposal may do so in person or by authorized representative at the public hearing.  In addition, written comments may be submitted prior to the hearing with the City Recorder at City Hall, located at 245 NW Johnson Street.

Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 227.186 requires that this notice contain the following language:

The City of Sublimity has determined that adoption of this ordinance will affect the permissible uses of your property and other properties in the affected zones, and may change the value of your property.

A copy of the amendments is available for inspection at the City Hall located at 245 NW Johnson Street.
