Hello Citizens of Sublimity,

I just want to update you on the State of the City of Sublimity during this COVID - 19 crisis.

First, the Santiam Hospital’s SIT team is operational at Ditters Square in Sublimity.  Here are two links to their operation where you can find more information about what they do and how you can help.

Second, to help get accurate information regarding COVID-19 cases to our citizens here is the statement from Marquis Companies:

On behalf of Marquis Companies, here is a statement regarding Marquis Marian Estates:

The health, care and safety of our residents, staff and families is our top priority. Currently, we have two staff and four residents with mild symptoms in isolation that have tested positive for COVID-19 in our Sublimity facility. We alerted families and staff immediately and are doing everything we can to ensure we stop the spread of this within our facility.  Staff that tested positive immediately went into isolation at home. We are working closely with local and state health officials, our facility Medical Director and are collaborating with Santiam hospital.

Our staff and residents are following the recommended preventative, containment and care actions, including taking all necessary isolation precautionary measures for any residents with respiratory issues. We continue to restrict all visitors per CDC guidelines. If we do have additional cases, we will notify family and communicate with them directly.

We have adequate PPE supplies and all employees are wearing recommended protective gear including N95 masks, face shields and gowns. Our staff has also been trained and is equipped to return home safely from the facility.  Our entire organization is dedicated to doing everything we can to contain the virus and protect our residents, staff and community.”

Thank you and if you have any question or comments, please feel free to contact me at james.kingsbury@cityofsublimity.org or any one of your council members.
