City Government Sublimity's charter, updated in 1903, is described as having the "weak mayor" system of city government. The mayor, four council members and the recorder/treasurer make up the city council. The city is also served by a planning commission which reviews development proposals and the budget committee which approves the budget and works on financial issues. City Hall houses the governmental office and the facility is open to the public five days a week. City hall serves as a meeting place for governmental functions and meetings and other community-wide organizations. |
