Utility Services

  • It is City policy that customers or their contractors never turn off the water at the water meter themselves. If you need to have the water shut off at the meter, please call 503-769-2860 and Public Works will come out and turn the water off for you.

If a homeowner or contractor attempts to shut off the water at the meter themselves, and the water line breaks, all repair expenses will be made at the homeowner's expense.

  • It is the City’s policy to NOT accept post-dated checks.

  • You own and are responsible for the maintenance of the water service line and its appurtenances. All damage due to freezing, vandalism, and all water loss due to leaks are the customer's responsibility.

  • There is a 24-hour drop-off slot near the front door of City Hall and a drop box at the street for water and sewer bill payments.
